Should funders spend more on their grantees' AI capacity than on their own?
That's the question I will debate at this year's TAG conference. And the research makes it even more interesting.
According to the Center for Effective Philanthropy, only 11% of foundations surveyed provide support for nonprofits' AI implementation. Meanwhile, NTEN and The Bridgespan Group found that 57% of nonprofit executives report having no dedicated AI budget.
At our next community group gathering, we'll explore findings from the State of Nonprofit AI Adoption and Governance report and what they mean for our organizations.
Who should invest in AI capacity, and what kind of support matters most? Training? Infrastructure? Governance? Time to learn and experiment?
Join us to compare experiences, challenge assumptions, and consider what it takes to use AI purposefully and responsibly.
