SCOPE OF WORK

<li data-list="bullet">The Gifts Processing consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the Development team by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of gift processing and maintaining the integrity of Salesforce data. This role requires an experienced individual to serve as the first point of review for batches keyed by the third-party caging vendor, reconcile each entry against submitted collateral, key in pledges and matching gifts, and process weekly revenue batches with particular attention to month-end close. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Serve as the first point of review for batches keyed by the third-party caging vendor; perform detailed review of each entry, reconcile against submitted collateral, note donor restrictions, and ensure transactions are linked to the correct accounts and the appropriate opportunities or pledges. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Key in pledges in accordance with guidance from the Director of Development Operations or VP of Finance, in addition to reviewing submitted batches. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Process weekly revenue batches accurately and on schedule, with particular attention to month-end close. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Maintain the integrity of donor data by updating address, contact preferences, and contact details identified during batch review. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Periodically monitor the caging vendor dashboard and key in voids for returned or voided checks. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Keep batch collateral current and follow up with the appropriate staff when documentation is missing or incomplete. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Flag systems issues identified during gifts processing to the supervisor and the Process and Information Management Team. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Process matching gifts and soft/hard credit designations. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Handle elevated volume during year-end and fiscal year-end giving surges with accuracy under deadline pressure. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Safeguard the confidentiality of donor financial data in accordance with organizational policy and applicable privacy regulations. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Processing weekly batches of bequest intentions from integration with a third-party wills and bequest site;</li>
<li data-list="bullet">Follow up on and resolve issues that occasionally arise in automated syncing of gift and donor information from online giving platform;</li>
<li data-list="bullet">Perform merges of donor records as needed for duplicates;</li>
<li data-list="bullet">Detail orientation with a strong commitment to accuracy, the core of this role is catching errors before a gift posts. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Reconciliation mindset: able to match deposits, collateral, and system entries and identify discrepancies quickly. </li>

<li data-list="bullet">Problem-solving and pattern recognition for flagging recurring systems issues versus one-off data errors. </li>
<li data-list="bullet">Proficiency in a nonprofit CRM or fundraising database (Salesforce, or similar) specifically batch entry, gift coding, and pledge management. </li>

About Warrior-Scholar Project
In partnership with colleges and universities, Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) hosts intensive, one-week college-preparatory academic boot camps for enlisted veterans and transitioning service members. Boot camps are offered in three disciplines: college readiness, STEM, and business. Through faculty lectures, workshops and research projects, tailored assignments, and one-on-one tutoring, warrior-scholars acquire the skills to succeed in higher education and navigate the cultural shift from military service to college. Throughout the course, warrior-scholars are mentored by WSP alumni who are student veterans who have successfully transitioned from the military to college.
WSP also offers workshops tailored to address the unique needs of veterans enrolled in community colleges and targeted programming for underrepresented veterans. All programming is provided at no cost to warrior-scholars.

Annual salary: $61,000 &#8211; $71,000, depending on experience
Health Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance is available. Canopy covers 100% of employee premiums for several plans.
Retirement: 401K, with a goal to offer employer matching contributions in the near future.
Sick leave: 12 days (96 hours) sick leave per year with a max accrual of 12 days per year.
Vacation time: 12 days (96 hours) per year with a max accrual of 18 days per year. Accrual rates increase after two years with Canopy.
Flexible hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in office) and supportive team environment
Strong organizational commitment to professional development for all employees, including funds available for obtaining Salesforce Administrator certificate if desired
