NTEN and Bridgespan have partnered to explore how nonprofit and social sector organizations are adopting and using artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies - from generative AI tools to AI-powered features embedded in everyday software.
Who should take this survey?
Anyone who works inside a nonprofit, foundation, or community-based organization. If you are a board member, consultant, service provider, or work in another sector, please forward this survey to those in your network who work inside a nonprofit organization or foundation.
What to expect
There are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your experiences, perceptions, and understanding as a nonprofit professional. We encourage participation from people at all levels of familiarity with AI. Multiple staff in a single organization are welcome to participate. Most questions are optional but we encourage participants to respond to as many as possible.
- Nonprofit staff have approximately 35 questions, with an estimated 10–15 minutes to complete the survey.
- Executive leadership have approximately 50 questions, with an estimated 15–20 minutes to complete the survey.
Why your contribution is valuable
Your responses will inform research, community discussion, and the development of practical resources for the sector. We will not share or report your individual responses. We will publish the aggregate results in a free report later this year, and are committed to developing and publishing additional free resources based on the priorities and input gathered in this survey.
You will also have the option to enter a drawing for a free NTEN professional certificate or registration to the 2027 Nonprofit Technology Conference.
