Been nerding out on something lately? Itching to share it with the class? Don&#39;t keep it to yourself — share it with community instead!
This month&#39;s Portland Nonprofit Tech Club is a community research night. We&#39;ll kick things off with a spotlight on select findings from NTEN and Bridgespan&#39;s 2026 State of Nonprofit AI Adoption and Governance Report, including:
<ul dir="ltr"><li>Leadership isn&#39;t the one in the dark — the people setting the AI rules bend them more than the people expected to follow them.</li><li>Naming an &quot;AI owner&quot; isn&#39;t the same as having a plan. How much of nonprofit AI governance is just theater?</li><li>More budget doesn&#39;t buy better AI training. So what actually does?</li></ul>
From there, the floor is open — bring a slide, a one-pager, or just a story from your own org. You don&#39;t need to present anything to be part of it; come to listen, ask questions, and compare notes with others in nonprofit tech, civic tech, education, and mission-driven work.
No research background required. Whether you&#39;re deep in a project of your own or just want to hear what other people are working on, you&#39;re welcome to join &#128591;&#127997;
