Product Analytics Lead

About Us

We're a national nonprofit organization providing services to +25,000 homeless families and children through our local affiliate network. As part of a multi-year strategy to increase our impact, we're developing a case management application and analytics platform to enable real-time interpretation and trend analysis - directly influencing family outcomes.

About the Work

As part of its scope, the case management application will collect and report activities and impacts related to specific funding grants. The current manual process is cumbersome, inefficient, and inaccurate. We're looking for a Fractional Product Analytics Lead to examine our current process and data practices. Then, recommend process improvements for increased data quality and better insights. And finally, partner with the app development team to automate these improvements in the app.

Specifically, you'll:

  • Review our organization's current data practices (collection, analysis, and reporting) and identify ways where we can significantly improve our process
  • Execute those process improvements. You'll facilitate the collection, synthesis, and interpretation of data in the new process, through Q1'25
  • Help translate those data collection and process improvements into a product strategy for our case management app/data platform
  • Work most closely with our Product team and exec stakeholders

We're expecting this work to need about 5 - 10 hrs/week of commitment, with the potential for this to be a long-term fractional relationship.

About You

You should meet all of the following criteria:

  • 6 - 10+ years of data analytics experience, with a focus on Product Analytics
  • Meaningful experience working on product strategy, translating the organization's data needs into the right software experience
  • You come from the worlds of consumer tech and other startup environments
  • Large corporation experience only will not be a fit here
  • Use SQL regularly, along with Python or R, and Tableau or PowerBI
  • Prior non-profit experience would be fantastic
  • You know how to be a consultant, managing stakeholders and providing a service

Please send a brief proposal with rates and your resume/other background to: sminiutti@familypromise.org.
