Every Body Texas seeks a Data Analyst to manage healthcare encounter data, databases, and visualization tools. This position will work with healthcare agencies to track and improve data integrity in support of project quality assurance and improvement. This is a full-time, grant-funded position. Current grant funding is for four years, through March 31, 2027. Position extension likely with continued project funding.
Who We Are
At Every Body Texas, we work to ensure that every person in Texas can access safe, unbiased, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare by funding and training healthcare providers in a way that increases access for clients.
As the statewide Title X grantee for Texas, we distribute nearly $15.5M in federal funding each year to over 150 clinics across the state—funding that is critical to ensuring that clinics stay open and deliver much needed sexual and reproductive healthcare to over 180,000 people in Texas every year. We also deliver training and technical assistance to providers and conduct policy, advocacy, and research activities that promote increased access to care.
What You’ll Do
You will be essential to all aspects of data management for Every Body Texas, including data collection, maintenance, monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Specifically, you will:
- Track encounter data reported monthly from Title X health agencies to ensure accurate and complete data reporting.
- Provide training and technical assistance to health agency staff as needed in support of data quality and reporting requirements.
- Utilize data manipulation and management tools to maintain and support data storage, visualization, tracking, analysis, and reporting. These may include R, SPSS, SQL, Salesforce, Azure, Azara, and Power BI.
- Analyze Title X and other project data to identify trends and inconsistencies that demonstrate project effectiveness and/or opportunities for quality improvement.
- Collaborate across teams within the organization to evaluate programs, offer evidence-based insights to project improvement, and prepare project data reports.
- Prepare and maintain policies and protocols for data collection and usage, including data dictionaries, analysis procedures, metric specifications, measurement plans, and other reference materials.
- Communicate data analysis and findings visually, orally, and in writing in a clear, concise manner to staff and various stakeholders.

You may have worked for a healthcare organization in the past, have experience working with healthcare encounter data and/or have experience working with an electronic health record and/or billing system(s). You are open to learning, growing, and giving and receiving feedback.

What Else You Should Know
This position is remote in Texas and requires mandatory in-person attendance at meetings held once a quarter at the Austin, Texas office or designated Austin, Texas location. The role requires 15% travel within the state. The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $75,000, with an exact salary depending on experience.
