Overview
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks an Online Marketing Specialist.

Major Function
The Online Marketing Specialist implements and supports activities for WWF’s peer to peer fundraising program called Panda Nation. This role will serve as the project coordinator for several annual events and as well as the recognition and retention efforts for the overall program. In addition, this role will work closely with internal teams and agency partners to provide a meaningful and engaging experience for event participants.

Responsibilities

  • Implement all aspects of event production for assigned Panda Nation signature events. This includes execution of campaign strategy, development of engaging content, coordination with internal WWF teams and third-party vendors, and reporting on campaign performance with suggestions for future events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with third party races and organizations that have an athletic charity partner program. This includes researching race partnership programs, applying for entry, getting contracts reviewed, and ensuring entries provide a strong ROI.
  • Support the optimization and execution of WWF’s recognition, retention, and communication strategy for Panda Nation, using email, direct mail, text messages, and social media, among other channels.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. Media, Influencer Relations, Development, Private Sector Engagement, etc) to identify and advance revenue opportunities connected to larger organization projects and priorities.
  • Perform competitive research to identify growth channels, opportunities, trends, and best practices. Stay abreast of developments in the industry to keep WWF’s peer-to-peer Program competitive and share industry insights within team and overall Marketing department.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of World Wildlife Fund’s mission and key initiatives.
  • Identifies and watches for trends, processing errors, or other issues which may affect the Panda Nation program. Contributes to meetings, analyses, and other efforts to improve or solve issues. Supports documentation and development of new procedures to prevent problems from recurring. Supports feasibility assessments and ensures communication is ongoing throughout the process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four years of experience with a focus on digital marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, or event planning; or advanced degree with 2 plus years’ experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to successfully work with members, colleagues from a variety of departments, and outside vendors
  • Ability to effectively multitask and establish priorities
  • Capable of handling diversified assignments and highly adaptable
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to complete work independently
  • A strong commitment to providing quality service
  • Experience with HTML coding, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop and eCRM systems (experience with Engaging Networks and/or Luminate Online preferred)
  • Able to travel on occasion as needed
