As a leader in the nonprofit fundraising space, we are growing, and are looking for a Digital Account Director to join us.
Objective of the Position
The role of the Digital Account Director is to direct and manage the digital direct response program for non-profit organizations, maintain strong client relationships, provide leadership within the Digital Department, and develop new service areas to give the company a competitive edge, all under the guidance of a member of the leadership or executive team.
Job Summary
The Digital Account Director is responsible for developing the multi-year strategic vision for clients’ digital programs, including email, web, text, ads and other channels, with an eye toward the clients’ overall growth goals. The Digital Account Director builds the annual digital budget projections, which may include cash flow projections – or on smaller accounts, may oversee the work of other team members. The Digital Account Director communicates regularly with the clients and internal team about overall digital results for all digital channels, campaign results, and progress toward annual goals, taking the lead on new ideas as needed to ensure goals are met. The Digital Account Director ensures regular written reports are sent to the clients, and will directly handle ad hoc reports such as executive summaries for Boards and Senior Leadership.
The Digital Account Director is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, including initiating regular contact with clients and responding to urgent client needs. The Digital Account Director is also responsible for ensuring that account supervisors are apprised of the status of the campaign and any potential client issues that could impact the relationship between the client and the firm, as well as any internal team issues that need to be addressed.
The Digital Account Director should have a detailed understanding of direct response fundraising, be well-versed in giving at all levels and through alternative giving methods, and the ability to work as part of a multi-channel team to exceed client needs and drive fundraising forward. The Digital Account Director is charged with identifying areas of digital growth for our clients, selling new ideas, programs and tools that ensure innovation for our clients, and expand our scope.
The Digital Account Director is responsible for serving as the supervisor of multiple members of the Digital Account team. They are also responsible for helping to build the expertise and offerings of the Digital Department, whether that means spearheading new areas of service, hiring additional staff, or developing partnerships within the industry. In terms of building the expertise of the Digital Account team, the Digital Account Director identifies where training is needed, and either works with the Training Committee or Executive Vice President overseeing Digital to develop and provide the appropriate training and procedure documents.
The Digital Account Director is charged with new business development, following up with potential client leads and participating in the RFP process. To facilitate that, the Digital Account Director is expected to cultivate a presence in the industry, representing Lautman Maska Neill & Company at industry events and volunteering on committees.
The Digital Account Director should be a leader in the firm, bringing added value by initiating special projects or initiatives that will further develop company offerings, processes or culture.
