POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a great opportunity for a Technology Coordinator to join a non-profit organization working to make a positive difference in the world. The successful candidate will be tech-savvy, have experience with a myriad of technology tools, and have the ability to quickly learn new technology tools. The Technology Coordinator will assist with coordinating and implementing work related to all technology tools, including the website content management system (WordPress CMS), constituent relationship management (CiviCRM), Monday.com for project management, Filecamp for digital asset management, and other technology tools utilized by Plastic Pollution Coalition. This position will play an integral part of a cohesive, highly motivated team and will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Website

  • Assist with creating and updating web pages and adding new content to the website
  • Update broken links on the website
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on the website
  • Assist with implementing additional functionalities to the website
  • Work on CSS and HTML coding as needed
  • Help with ensuring the website is optimized for different devices
  • Assist with Google Analytics configuration and reporting

Constituent Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Assist with deduping contacts
  • Help to prepare, schedule, and track engagement with email blasts
  • Set up a monthly newsletter and work with the communications team to finalize
  • Work on setting up donation pages, donation thank you emails
  • Assist with Coalition membership tasks, including updating application forms, directory and other tasks
  • Help with creating reports for fundraising, email blasts, memberships and other data
  • Assist with importing and exporting data as needed

Other Technology Tools

  • Assist with Google Suite tasks
  • Help with technical tasks related to Slack, Monday.com, Filecamp, Action Network and other technology tools
  • Provide support to team members with using technology tools as needed
  • Help with identifying new technology tools as the organization's needs evolve

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in website technologies, such as WordPress, CSS and HTML
  • Proficiency with utilizing and customizing CRM software, such as CiviCRM
  • Proficiency in utilizing Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar and Sheets
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide array of technology tools
  • Highly skilled at juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • A professional demeanor
  • Discretion in maintaining confidential information
  • High degree of ethics and standards of personal conduct

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in a remote nonprofit environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology and software environments
  • Proactive with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Flexibility to respond and adapt to a fast-paced work environment in a non-traditional office structure
  • Good sense of humor and positive attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred

BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $25,000 to $35,000 for part-time (20 hours per week), commensurate with qualifications and experience. PPC also offers a comprehensive benefits program, including employer-sponsored health insurance and paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal days, parental and sick leave. This is an exempt position.

Technology & Digital Operations Director

LOCATION

All staff of Plastic Pollution Coalition work remotely. This candidate can be based anywhere in the U.S.
