Philanthropy Assistant II, Data and Analytics

Essential Functions:

  • Process mail, sort and tally incoming donations, and collaborate with the Finance department on gift deposits.
  • Enter gift data into Raiser's Edge and maintain data entry standards. Responsible for entering direct debit and grant gifts.
  • Enter new constituent contacts and update constituent data as requested by donors and Philanthropy Officers, including sensitive and confidential information.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and donors via phone and email in response to frequent data tickets. 
  • Create and manage Philanthropy office donor files following an established records management system, compile information from such files, and purge files as required.
  • Provide instruction and direction to new, less experienced, or part-time staff or volunteers on FJV front office procedures and Raiser’s Edge usage as needed, including the development of policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Generate and utilize reports to support Philanthropy operations.
  • Import gifts from event software (e.g. OneCause) to Raiser’s Edge using Omatic Software.
  • Serve as backup for receptionist, providing a high level of customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Assist with gift acknowledgments and reconciliation.
  • Assist the Philanthropy team with fundraising projects, events, and other support as needed.
  • On-time completion of assigned training and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of administrative experience.
  • Intermediate user of MS Office.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising CRM.
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks upon employment.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License and be able to qualify for insurance coverage.
  • Annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary.
