Position Overview
BWF is seeking a passionate, creative, and mission-driven professional to join our team as an Associate Vice President. As a member of the Systems and Operations team, you will use your expertise to provide support to clients from healthcare systems and academic medical centers, colleges and universities, arts and cultural organizations, and many other nonprofits to advance their missions. This client-facing position will work as a part of a team to conduct assessments and support technology implementation and utilization related to areas of philanthropy operations such as gift processing, prospect development, donor relations other areas that support the fundraising process. This role requires a strong foundation in business processes related to philanthropy, the ability to document and analyze business processes, and experience implementing software conversions, or other related activities supporting operations. This position provides direction and management to projects by coordinating resources and must be able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and manage time proactively.

Responsibilities
- Define engagement scope of work and deliverables and provide excellent delivery of consulting services, in partnership with clients.
- Lead select engagements with multiple team members and serve as a team member on other engagements. Must be able to manage project management and team resources assigned to projects appropriately.
- Participate in tasks and projects that may include assessments, providing counsel, staff augmentation, participating in technology selection and implementation projects, and other projects that arise.
- Collaborate regularly with internal team members and clients to ensure delivery of cohesive and quality work product delivered by deadline.
- Meet annual revenue goals by completing quality work efficiently.
- Contribute to firm-generated thought leadership by creating or supporting written content and engaging in speaking opportunities to promote expertise in philanthropy through firm and industry publications, conferences, or events.
- Develop and maintain a network of professional contacts that may contain potential clients, initiate conversations with potential clients, maintain existing client engagements, and actively respond to sales opportunities where appropriate.
- Contribute to BWF sales and marketing efforts through dedicated opportunity discovery and sales process activities.
- Participate in ongoing internal activities as a productive and active member of the firm. These may include orientation and ongoing trainings, firm-wide client review meetings, and other skill-building activities.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience related to fundraising operations (or equivalent experience in other industries) in higher education, healthcare, and/or other nonprofit settings.
- Experience working on large-scale technology implementation in a non-profit environment. Exposure to a wide variety of fundraising technology and/or CRM platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, and solid strategic thinking ability for report writing.
- Solid time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfort selling services and generating leads and clients.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; professional certification welcome.

Location and Hours
- This position can be remote or based in our Minneapolis office (Minneapolis-based consultants are expected to maintain a hybrid office presence)
- For those within commuting distance of our office, our building offers free parking, an onsite café and gym, 24-hour security, and proximity to shopping and restaurants
- We strive to provide work/life balance whenever possible but due to the nature of this role, weekend and evening hours are required when deadlines need to be met
- Overnight travel to client sites, conferences, or firm meetings is required up to 75% of the time
Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 based on qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on transparently defined performance metrics including client satisfaction, work quality, team attainment, and firm contribution metrics. There are also additional sales bonus opportunities.
