Manager, Direct Response, Sustainer Analytics

Position Summary:
The Manager, Direct Response Sustainer Analytics reports to the Senior Manager, Direct Response, Data & Analytics and provides critical support to the direct response fundraising team. The Manager will work closely with program area managers for low dollar, mid-level and digital to provide data-driven insights to grow the sustaining donor program (both monthly and annual).

Essential Responsibilities:
·       Gathering data insights for the purpose of sustainer acquisition, retention, upgrade, conversion, and recapture.
·       Research and identify trends in sustainer programs and bring new ideas to the team; optimize under-utilized opportunities in other channels and initiatives to support sustainer goals.
·       Data quality, data management and data reconciliation.
·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct response offline and digital teams to inform strategy.
·       Troubleshoot data issues specific to sustainers, work with Senior Manager and IT to resolve.
·       Work closely with Senior Director, Direct Response and Director, Digital Fundraising on strategy, goals, and sustainer budgets, informed by data insights.
·       Work with Snr Manager and Directors on sustainer reporting dashboard.
·       Develop and monitor KPI’s related to sustainer growth.

Minimum Qualifications:
·       Bachelor’s degree.
·       Strong working knowledge of sustainer giving programs including benchmarks, best practices, and industry trends.
·       Minimum three years’ experience applying analytics and data visualizations, preferably in a nonprofit/fundraising setting.
·       Experience using Business Intelligence tools.
·       Strong qualitative and quantitative analytic skills, with the ability to interpret and present key analytic findings.
·       Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
·       Ability to solve problems, meet tight deadlines, multi-task.
·       Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
·       Track record of data-driven decision-making and performance.
·       Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, complex formulas, power query, etc.).
·       EveryAction and/or Salesforce experience.
·       Commitment to the mission and values of the National Audubon Society.

Preferred Qualifications:
·       Experience using SQL, Snowflake and/or Sigma.
·       Experience with Google Analytics.
·       An interest in conservation, birds and/or birding not required but strongly preferred.
