POSITION SUMMARY
Meals on Wheels America is seeking a Manager, Data Systems, and Implementation to manage the implementation and upkeep of changes to our data infrastructure that enable business intelligence for strategic decision-making for funding, advocacy, digital marketing, and Member engagement. This is an incredible opportunity to gain experience in managing & implementing cloud data services, databases, data transformations, system integrations, and data analysis and have an impact on the well-being of America’s homebound seniors.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Data and Technology, this position will be responsible for creating, managing, and monitoring the data processes on a variety of newly acquired platforms that support the Association’s strategic goal-focused infrastructure and will be the primary subject matter expert of what and how information systems should be used, ensuring data integrity and credibility for decision making.
The position is an Arlington, VA-based, flexible hybrid working role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the implementation of new software/systems deemed critical to the achievement of the Association’s goals.
- Manage the migration of information/data to new software/systems deemed critical to the achievement of the Association’s goals.
- Manage the creation of a Data Lake, leveraging services in the AWS ecosystem to build a single source of data for Business Intelligence
- Work with internal stakeholders to create SOPs on the best practices for the use of our existing and newly implemented data tools and systems.
- Work alongside the rest of the data team to identify and address issues with the use, integration, and implementation of our systems.
- Manage the training of staff on the use and implementation of the SOPs for all our systems.
- Manage the use of external data sources and reference tables to ensure reports are utilizing the most current data available (US Zip Code database, Census data, etc.).
- Support the Senior Director of Data & Technology in building and planning the roadmap for the Data systems needed to ensure a robust future for the Association.
- Line management of the Data Management and Implementation Associate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Data & Technology
QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework or 4 or more year(s) related work experience in a managerial and implementation role.
- Prior people management experience is preferred.
- Prior experience managing and implementing SQL-based systems, AWS tools, not-for-profit databases, Advanced Microsoft Excel, and Business Intelligence tools required.
- Prior experience managing and implementing any of the following systems preferred; NetForum Enterprise, Every Action, AWS API Gateway, AWS Data Warehousing/SQL Server, AWS Glue, AWS S3, Tableau & Tableau Prep.
- Experience with project management, in any style, is required. Prior use of JIRA preferred.
- Ability to learn/adopt new tools quickly.
