Director of Sales and Marketing

Mobile Citizen, a Voqal project, actively advances social equity through access by providing low-cost mobile internet exclusively to nonprofit organizations, educational entities, and social welfare agencies. Mobile Citizen is currently recruiting for a full-time, remote Sales and Marketing Director to join our dynamic, growing team. 

Responsibilities

The Sales and Marketing Director oversees and contributes to the development and delivery of fully integrated sales and marketing strategies and tactics for the business. This role will have a strong emphasis on growing sales revenue by building and directing a high-functioning sales team while providing marketing guidance to the Mobile Citizen Marketing Communications Manager.

Being responsible for driving awareness and revenue, this role oversees the teams and initiatives to gain leads and achieve sales goals. This person will manage the Mobile Citizen sales and marketing teams and be the primary point of contact for sales and marketing-related activities delivered through our customer care center.

The Sales and Marketing Director will establish, manage, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement of all sales and marketing programs, including but not limited to providing them with the necessary direction, tools, materials, and presentations. Responsibilities include establishing sales goals, providing coaching and training as needed, setting sales and marketing plans, overseeing content development, branding, social media engagements, the company website, product positioning and PR as well as the business processes associated with these initiatives. This position defines programs, value propositions, social media presence, and understands the competitive environment and market and sales trends that will improve the reputation and recognition of the Mobile Citizen brand.

The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for oversight of budgeting, monitoring, tracking, and reporting results for sales, marketing, and communications programs. This role helps to recruit and manage internal and external (vendors) resources to achieve objectives and Mobile Citizen’s goals.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience within a B2B tech/telecommunications services environment: social enterprise, subscription, nonprofit, and/or educational sales experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience.
  • Experience utilizing tools such as NetSuite (ideal), Marketo, or Sales Force as well as overseeing marketing programs that leverage WordPress, Adobe, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and/or LinkedIn.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay for this position is $132K/yr. Voqal also offers a very generous benefits package including but not limited to partially paid medical coverage for employees and dependents, partially paid dental and vision, paid LTD, STD, and AD&D. Paid vacation, sick, holidays, personal time, and paid family leave as well as a retirement program including employer-sponsored profit sharing and employee-sponsored 401K plans.
