Facing History and Ourselves is seeking a Digital Operations Coordinator to join our growing Technology team. The Digital Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting a range of team functions, including content and event production, customer service and support, accessibility, and training and development functions on the Digital team. In addition, the Digital Operations Coordinator supports agile program and project management using wisdom, empathy, and creativity.

We govern all processes and procedures which deliver change to those platforms, with a view to minimizing incidents and operational risk while operating efficiently and responsively.
Our work is cross-functional in order to serve critical mission-driven needs. Our team prides itself in deeply understanding and caring about our users and our mission. We commit to both when we build and maintain technology solutions. Our digital properties exist across a range of platforms, including Drupal 9, Salesforce, Hubspot, and Canvas to support our user-facing digital product and experiences, including resources, community, and professional learning events.
Who You Are: You are a creative problem solver with a passion for supporting digital products and experiences. You are a thoughtful, highly organized, mission-driven individual who can contribute to building effective and efficient digital operations and program management practice within Facing History’s Technology team. You will have overall responsibility for providing support for content and event production, customer service and support, accessibility, and training and development programs.
You’ll help ensure that designated budgets are properly managed, tracked, and documented and that communications are coordinated efficiently. In addition, you are a skilled organizer who can provide the management and administrative systems needed to support an operations-heavy organization, while taking an empathetic, inclusive, relationships-driven, communicative approach to your assigned work.

Responsibilities Include:
- Produce digital content and events across platforms and channels; including content on Drupal 9, our connected systems (including a Salesforce-based event platform, and an LMS), and events on Zoom Webinar, On24, and Youtube Live.
- Support project planning for multiple concurrent projects; ensure projects run as planned, adjust project scope as needed, manage risks, identify obstacles to project completion, and communicate proactively with stakeholders. Projects relate to our internal digital training and documentation program, internal and external customer support program, and accessibility program.
- Lived experiences, cultural competence, and work experience within marginalized communities is highly valued.
- Provide internal and external end-user support across channels, including Slack, Jira, Olark, and Salesforce. Troubleshoot technical issues with colleagues and end-users. Provide live technical support for professional learning and community events.
- Collect, synthesize and analyze data for continuous improvement, and refinement across functional areas pull analytics from Google Analytics, Hubspot, Facebook Insights, Jira, and more.
- Provide general administrative and operations support for the team. Help organize and maintain all team documentation, including meeting decks, JIRA tickets, Confluence spaces, Slack channels, and other communication.
- Provide quality assurance and peer reviews of external-facing content across platforms.
- Provide administrative, technical, content management, and moderation support for online community spaces.
- Use Slack to collaborate within and across teams and as an intake mechanism for projects, tasks, and support requests.

- BA/BS or equivalent work experience preferred; nonprofit or educational experience preferred.
- Interest in Facing History and Ourselves’ mission and familiarity with education and non-profit settings.
- Passionate about developing processes and systems in a way that is empathetic, inclusive, and relationship-driven.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and creatively problem-solve; ability to manage multiple assignments in a busy, fluid setting. When you hit roadblocks you know when to ask for help, but you can also make recommendations and suggest solutions independently.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and curious. You ask questions, you Google things you don’t know and are eager to learn, you learn from your colleagues.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Effective and flexible communication skills as well as excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce preferred.
- Disciplined self-starter and independent work committed to iterative and continual improvement.
