Title: Digital Marketing Manager

Facing History and Ourselves is a global education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to bigotry and hate.
The Digital Marketing Manager is a critical part of our integrated Marketing team and essential to our goals of capturing search demand, increasing site traffic, marketing our resources and products, and driving new lead acquisition. They will also act as data reporting and analysis support for all marketing activities–with a focus on SEO and search.
Responsibilities include:
SEO and Search Engine Marketing
- Partner closely with Marketing leadership and the external firm who runs our Google AdWords grant, as well as Digital Operations and Data who control our Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager implementation.
- Planning, managing, executing, optimizing, and analyzing all SEO and search efforts (paid & organic).
- Identify key SEO opportunities, tracking website traffic and creating KPIs, and analyzing competitors on a regular basis.
- Improve overall visibility for our brand and key categories across search engines.
- Coordinate with our Digital Operations team to manage website on-page optimization and lead all non-branded keyword research opportunities
- Tracking and optimizing conversions and lead generation at every touchpoint in the user journey through personalization, A/B testing and page optimization aligning goals with the organization's digital platform measurement plan.
- Keep a pulse on Google’s search ecosystem. Stay up-to-date on the latest Google changes including algorithm updates, bugs, new requirements, and new features
Data and Analysis
- Provide regular insights into KPIs, audience, and seasonal trends that will inform the overall marketing strategy and decision-making.
- Track, measure and report (on a monthly basis) performance impact of all campaigns and activities, and report out quantifiable metrics against KPIs that align with our Measurement Plan.
- Develop and monitor bespoke dashboards and tools, as needed.
- Provide monthly reporting on our search performance, highlighting trends and work with our Associate Director, Email & Automation on other marketing-related monthly reporting.
- Communicating with stakeholders about data and data trends.
Essential Skills and Qualities:

- Strong understanding of Digital Marketing & Data tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search console, CRMs (Hubspot and Salesforce a plus), and Google Data Studio.
- Analytical skills with a proven ability to drive initiatives and conversion optimization through data insights.
- 2+ years of SEO experience; with emphasis on the technical side
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented. Conscientious in regard to managing data and analytical quality.
- Team-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to think creatively and analytically; able to work effectively in an autonomous environment when needed.
- Skilled at managing, analyzing and interpreting marketing and web data.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple work streams
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders,
- An understanding of web standards
