Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Donor Engagement, the Associate Director (AD) of Donor Engagement will assist with donor relations and stewardship efforts across a growing Office of Development and Alumni Relations. This is a hybrid position.
Function:
- The AD of Donor Engagement is responsible for aiding in day-to-day operational oversight, planning, and coordination of exhaustive engagement functions, including:
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and write impact reports; narrative reports (professorship, fellowship, scholarship, center, institute); gift acknowledgments; and birthday, holiday, and other special occasion outreach
- Oversee giving societies
- Gatekeep naming opportunities inventory and program execution.
- Envision and execute donor recognition events (virtual and, when appropriate, in person)
- Develop and administer regular donor satisfaction surveys and synthesize findings for actionable movement
- Develop and implement institution-wide protocols to improve existing stewardship efforts, including managing data to set strategic priorities
- Synthesize content to articulate the value of Montefiore Einstein to patients; physician-scientists; caregivers; and fiduciary, advisory, and community leaders
- With appropriate support, build and maintain a stewardship module within The Raiser’s Edge
- Build and test metrics around baseline standards
- Educate colleagues about best practices
- Potential to hold a small stewardship portfolio
- Assist External Relations team with other duties as assigned

- Familiarity with The Raiser’s Edge or a comparable fundraising database a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a fundraising, healthcare, consulting, or similar setting
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality required
- Must be able to accurately handle diverse projects and a large volume of detailed work simultaneously and use good judgment in prioritizing work
- Must have excellent computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a demonstrated ability to use development databases, particularly Raiser's Edge or similar customer relationship management system
