Nejeed Kassam
Nejeed Kassam, Keela’s Founder and CEO, is a lawyer by training. Keela emerged from his vision for a collaborative and productive space for nonprofits. Nejeed has worked in the sector for over 15 years including with the United Nations, the Senate of Canada and countless others. He is also the founder and former executive director of End Poverty Now, the author of High on Life and the producer of Conversations for Change. He has been recognized with many national and international accolades including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (from the Government of Canada), the Wendy Babcock Social Justice Award (from Osgoode Hall Law School), The Global Peace and Tolerance Award (from the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation), the Goldman Sachs Global Leadership Award, and as a Global Shaper (from the World Economic Forum).
