Meet the fellows

I am the Community Resource Navigator at The Rosewood Initiative, a place-based nonprofit in East Portland, Oregon, that fosters community building and serves as a resource hub for neighbors most impacted by systemic exclusion. In my position I work one on one with community members to connect them with resources and services to support them and their families.I love working directly with the community, and it fills me with happiness when they find what they are looking for at Rosewood. It’s important for me to treat people with dignity and empathy, and to build the trust that people need.I am a mother of two and a proud immigrant from Mexico. I live in Portland with my husband. In my free time I love to work in my garden.
