Digital Equity Intern/ Digital Navigator

Pronouns: he/him
Digital inclusion has been my priority ever since witnessing how individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic struggled to switch day-to-day activities to remote. While building the Digital Navigation Program I realized how disparate the impact of the pandemic had on those who were digitally handicapped in comparison to those who weren’t. Working as a Digital Navigator and Digital Equity intern has allowed me to work towards bridging the digital divide by helping community members get access to affordable internet, affordable digital devices, and digital literacy courses. Ever since I began my quest of bridging the digital divide, I’ve had the privilege to work for the City of San Diego in the San Diego Access for All program, a government program intended to help those who are digitally handicapped. Aside from working as a Digital Navigator, I also work with San Diego City libraries in managing the distribution of internet hotspots.
