Senior Program Manager - Adult Services
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library

Pronouns: She/Her

I am passionate about technology education, literacy in all its forms, and connecting our community through a variety of services and programs for adults. I have worked in public libraries for over 10 years, and currently serve as Senior Program Manager for Adult Services at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. I believe digital equity is one of the most important aspects of adult education, and a key component to reducing barriers to access for all aspects of life. I started my career in libraries teaching digital literacy classes, and instantly fell in love. Watching adults who came into the library frustrated, even angry that they can't access the things they need, leaving feeling supported, and like there were new possibilities opening up had me hooked! Since that time, I've continued to hone my skills, and moved into the work of coordinating adult programming for the library system. I work with our adult librarians and support staff across our 20 locations to ensure we are providing the educational resources and support that our adults need to thrive in modern society. I thoroughly enjoy working with our local partners to work to address barriers to access, and over the past 6 months have served as Interim Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for the library, overseeing digital equity projects at a large scale. This experience included managing two large grant-funded projects related to computer distribution and a community wifi project.
