About the cohort
Global Tech Enablers: A Nonprofit Tech Readiness cohort offers a transformative six-month experience designed for nonprofit professionals worldwide. Participants are trained in technology leadership and project management, enabling them to implement technological solutions that drive meaningful change within their organizations and communities.
This cohort is open to participants globally, fostering a diverse learning environment. The program combines educational courses and workshops with tailored mentorship and guidance, helping participants move their technology projects from concept to action plan. Expert practitioners provide personalized insights and mentorship, supporting participants every step of the way with their projects. Previous Nonprofit Tech Readiness participants have had a variety of projects, such as developing their organization’s IT roadmap, securing internal systems, migrating databases, identifying new client management systems, and more.
The Global Tech Enablers cohort is absolutely free for all selected candidates. Participants will benefit from personalized guidance on successful planning, culture change, and implementation, ensuring they emerge as effective technology leaders. By the end of the program, they will be equipped with the skills and confidence needed to tackle complex technology challenges and drive innovation within their organizations.

Schedule
Plan for a six-month time commitment, with 8–10 hours per month for program work.

Sessions
You'll be supported as you move your customized technology project from the idea stage to a full-blown action plan and get the guidance you need to implement the project. You do not need to have a project decided or in mind when you start.
Technology projects
Advice and mentorship, including help with successful planning, culture change, and implementation.
Open office hours
Drop-in opportunities to get direct support.
Educational series
Training sessions that cover the core competencies of technology planning, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation.
Leadership development
Facilitated process for discussing feedback and practicing and modeling experiences you can replicate at your organization.
Interactive workshops
Working sessions to build your project planning skills and develop connections with your peers.
Topics
The curriculum is tailored to the cohort participants’ needs, and new courses are added as available. Topics include:
- Constituent and community data privacy
- Intro to the AI framework for an equitable world
- Introduction to Responsible AI
- Lead with technology roadmaps
- Manage change and uncertainty at work
- Nonprofit product management strategies
- Operational strategies for smaller nonprofits
- Racial equity in tech planning
Additional benefits
You'll get free enrollment in NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Professional Certificate. After the cohort ends, you'll also continue to have access to the materials and online community space. You'll also have opportunities to include colleagues in workshops and coaching sessions.

Who should apply
Applicants for the program should be invested in enhancing their technology leadership skills and building their capacity to manage technology solutions effectively. This cohort is open to nonprofit staff from any location interested in practical, tangible technology training and in any role responsible for advancing and implementing a technology project at their organization. Board members and volunteers are not eligible. If you have any questions about your eligibility, email us.
