Artificial intelligence is transforming nonprofit work, but adopting it responsibly requires more than curiosity. This course helps program officers and nonprofit professionals learn to use generative AI safely, ethically, and effectively. You’ll practice writing clear prompts using the PIC framework, apply organizational guardrails with SMART.AI, and design a realistic 30-day pilot plan.
Along the way, you’ll explore when and when not to use AI, how to protect data and equity, and how to involve staff and community voices in the process. By the end, you’ll have practical skills and governance steps to ensure AI strengthens your mission rather than complicating it.
