Things We Like (January 2014)

A monthly roundup of our favorite nonprofit tech resources and other goodies. Read more posts on our blog.

  1. Blackbaud released its 2013 Corporate Citizenship report. It’s a great example of being transparent about the work a company does and the causes it supports.
  2. A different kind of year in review – Mat Honan shared his experience with Google Glass over the past year, and looks at the future of wearable tech.
  3. Whether your tech is wearable or not, it’s important that you keep it clean.
  4. Google Glass can create some awkward social interactions, but email can be just as awkward.
  5. Are you stuck somewhere that’s been affected by atrocious cold weather lately? Here’s something great for working from home, even if you lose power!
  6. And you know it’s cold when this little guy moves into your neighborhood.
  7. We’re fans of Downton Abbey, and we’re fans of Legos, so naturally we’re fans of combining the two.
  8. Sophie Gamand has turned the ‘cute dog picture’ on its head with pictures of dogs while they’re being groomed.
  9. A German design took the idea of a cat perch a step farther, maybe a step too far.
  10. In case you ever wondered what it might be like to be a cat, Catlateral Damage has you covered.
  11. Check out this great poster – it’s a new twist on some of your favorite movie quotes!
