The Nonprofit Technology Conference: Looking Back, and Looking Forward!

Wow! For my first NTC, everything I’ve heard about the NTEN community was spot on. Caring, stylish, open, directfunny, warm, outspoken, sportinginnovative with solutions on the fly, and coffee-lovin’ were just a few of the adjectives that flew around the Hilton Minneapolis, through the miles of skyways, and over social media. And that is just a small snapshot of a community that loves to learn, loves to be together, and wants to change the world.

We’ve been getting some great evaluations, both for the overall event and sessions. Please send us more! You could be like Barbara Jones from March of Dimes, who is our first lucky winner to receive an iPad Mini. Next drawing happens on May 15. Could it be you?

We appreciate all of your thoughts about how to make this the best conference, period. Next year, for 14NTC , the NTEN staff is already deep into planning. I hope you’re thinking of ways to get involved, too. Here are a few to keep in mind:

  • Submit a breakout session idea May 15-June 15
  • Suggest an idea for a Day of Service project
  • Suggest a plenary or big idea speaker
We’ll be in Washington, DC, March 13-15, 2014. And although we might not get to see cherry blossoms, we are across from two of my favorite DC destinations: the National Zoo (in case we can’t get the puppies to come on time, we’re totally going to visit the pandas, tigers, and elephants) and Adams Morgan (where my favorite bar gives away free beer to redheads).
Thanks again for all your time, energy, feedback, and joy. I can’t wait to do it again next year!
