Hello NTEN community,
I am Jude Parker Koski, your new Membership & Marketing Director! I have dedicated my career to serving marginalized communities in the nonprofit sector since 1996, where I have worked in the areas of access to education for youth experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+ youth and families advocacy, foster care policy reform, and urban community garden preservation.
In 2012, I discovered NTEN and attended my first of seven NTCs, an experience that validated my passion to bring technology to organizations, foundations, and government agencies in California’s foster care sector to help their staff and the youth they serve to better organize and achieve successes.
The opportunity to meet and build relationships with other people across the US, Canada, and other parts of the world with my shared drive has been invaluable, supportive, and highly productive in advancing my knowledge and connections to technology strategies and solutions.
As a transgender professional, the NTEN community has been particularly welcoming and supportive, and I am deeply committed to continuing to build NTEN alongside you to ensure everyone experiences solidarity within this important and unique community.
In the Membership and Marketing Director role, I am most excited to expand and deepen the experience for NTEN Members by listening to what’s most important to you and offering what you need and want to elevate your impact and expand your network of resources.
Originally from Connecticut, I’ve lived in Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Virginia, Michigan, and since 1999, home is in San Francisco, CA with my partner and three rescued kitties, including a formerly feral cat that now enjoys being carried around on his back. When I am not caring for cats, I enjoy designing and woodworking with repurposed materials, garden landscaping, and adventures in nature by the shore.
