Each year SXSW Interactive brings together geeks, creatives, and others who are pushing the boundaries of technological change for five days of knowledge sharing and networking. And they’re eager to include the NTEN community! Read on for two ways you can throw your hat in the ring to make an appearance in Austin this coming March. But hurry: the deadline for both of these opportunities is this coming Friday.
Panel proposals: The legendary SXSW PanelPicker is open! That’s the fancy name for the “collaborative database that helps the SXSW Interactive team give fair and equal consideration to many ideas at once.” Want to speak in front of this buzzing crowd? Propose a panel or workshop that focuses on creativity and innovation – and note that the SXSW organizers take diversity seriously.
Scholarship nominations: Tell SXSW Interactive about a person who’s using technology to make good things happen in your community (whether professionally or through volunteering or a hobby), and you and your nominee will both be entered to win a free registration to the event! Learn more about the 2014 SXSW Interactive Scholarship Program and get your essays in by 11:59pm CDT this Friday, July 26.
Have you been to SXSW Interactive? If so, what advice would you give to a wannabe presenter or a first-time attendee?
