Introducing the Nonprofit Technology Benchmarking Tool

You know there’s no “one size fits all” when it comes to determining the right staffing and budgeting levels for your nonprofit.

But understanding what organizations similar to you – either in size, geographic region, or issue area – are doing when it comes to investments in their technology staffing and budgets can help you make better informed decisions, as well as better make your case to stakeholders.

That’s why we’re excited to announce a new online tool to help you do just that!

NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Benchmarking Tool is based on our annual research on technology staffing and spending. It will provide you with customized reports about your organizational staffing and budget levels compared to other nonprofits.

You’ll need to create a profile for your organization first, but then you can start comparing, reporting, and making better decisions for your organization!

This is just the beginning of what we’d like to do with this tool: we’re going to continue to listen to feedback from those who use it, improve our data set, and update the ways you can interact with it – all with the goal of making NTEN’s annual research more actionable for you and the nonprofit sector.

We thank the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and Microsoft for supporting the work on this project, and the team at The Gilbert Center for building the site.
