Your mission is on a roll, and people want to get on board! They are anxious to join your fundraising efforts. But all third-party and peer-to-peer fundraising is not created equal. To be good stewards of your organization’s resources and make the most of the third-party opportunities that come your way, you need a strategy. You need to know when to say yes, when to say no, and when to say DIY!
This session will explore the trends in peer-to-peer and third-party fundraising and how these initiatives integrate into the overall mission fundraising strategy. The session will examine real life examples of DIY and third-party initiatives that worked, as well as some that didn’t. Attendees will learn to identify tools and resources needed to implement and grow these revenue streams without sidetracking other development activities, and create a matrix to assign value to the outcomes and make decisions about when to promote, pursue, or press the pause button.
