Thread StrategiesTracy Shaw is a passionate and driven professional, dedicated to connecting idealists with the resources they need to address society’s biggest obstacles. With more than 15 years of experience in development and nonprofit leadership, Tracy has helped a variety of organizations meet the needs of their communities by providing direction and guidance in fundraising planning and execution. Tracy holds a Master of Public Affairs with a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
It is Tracy’s firm belief and experience that connecting powerful programs with the right resources creates positive change in the world. It is her goal to be at the intersection of those resources and programs in order to improve the lives of those in need. To that end, Tracy has successfully planned and executed various local, regional and national fundraising campaigns and events, leveraged corporate and major donors, and managed as many as 20 full-time fundraising staff to further the mission of various nonprofit organizations. She has held leadership roles at The Partnership for Children, The State of North Carolina, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the American Kidney Fund, as well as contributed to many other organizations as a consultant.
Tracy’s greatest strength is her enthusiasm. It gives her great joy to help people work together in a community to strengthen connections and to raise resources that help solve real-life problems and issues. She enjoys taking road trips in the spring and fall with the windows down, crossing finish lines, and holding hands with her sweet husband, Todd.
