Manager, Digital Strategy and Community Engagement
Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) CanadaRachel Paris is the Manager, Digital Strategy and Community Engagement at the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) Canada, the only Canadian foundation 100% dedicated to participatory youth grantmaking. In her role, she manages the data systems for a national program reaching 20,000 youth, as well as communications, impact reporting and engagement for a community of stakeholders including youth, charities, schools & funders.
Before landing at YPI, Rachel came from a background in community-based interventions with a variety of groups, including youth, women, people living in poverty, and gender & sexual minorities. This direct service experience informs a strong commitment to equity and ethics, and she is interested in the ways that technology as a tool can be used to either empower or disenfranchise communities.
Rachel is a White settler from the traditional territory of Tkaronto (Toronto, Canada), where she participates in the crafting, roller derby and activist communities.
