Training & Education Program Specialist
Disabled Sports USA
Cayla Hammaker joined the Disabled Sports USA team in 2018 as a Training and Education Program Specialist. In this role, she supports Disabled Sports USA’s Adapt2Achieve program that provides training opportunities and resources to professionals in the adaptive sports field. Cayla graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Vermont. While in her third year, Cayla completed an internship with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports in addition to serving as a volunteer for on-campus groups serving individuals with disabilities. After graduating, Cayla worked as a program associate with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s adaptive sports program in Boston, Massachusetts prior to joining the Disabled Sports USA. Cayla currently has her Level I Adaptive Ski certification and enjoys volunteering with adaptive ski programs in the winter. In her free time, Cayla also enjoys traveling to new places, running with her dog, hiking in the mountains, and seeking new outdoors adventures.
