Aneta Thomas Lee is an altruistic forward thinking leader and a staunch advocate for community empowerment. Aneta serves as a champion for the cause of digital inclusion and equity in every setting she finds herself in. She caught the digital inclusion “fever” in 2015 when she became a member of the first cohort of Digital Inclusion Fellowship. This unique Fellowship was sponsored by Google Fiber and managed by the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN). Aneta served as a Fellow with the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department. Aneta was then honored to serve for another Fellowship term in 2017. This Fellowship was in partnership with Rainbow PUSH Coalition - Silicon Valley office and was aptly named the Rev. Jesse Jackson Digital Inclusion Fellowship. Aneta and her colleague worked with seven Atlanta area churches to implement digital literacy programming. She established relationships with partners churches, county libraries, senior centers and community-based nonprofits including the Urban League of Greater Atlanta.
Aneta currently serves as the Lead Digital Inclusion Specialist for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition – Silicon Valley and the FaithTech Connected Churches initiative. Aneta conducts virtual monthly training for churches via Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s Zoom, YouTube and Facebook Live streaming services. She consults 1:1 with churches to provide technical assistance and she provides training to church staff/leaders/congregants to assist with the integration of technology into ministry operations. Aneta also serves as a Senior Training Specialist for Inspiredu (formerly PowerMyLearning Atlanta). In this role, she is responsible for planning, creating, coordinating and implementing a premium Adult Literacy Program that will fully integrate with Inspiredu’s exceptional Family Engagement programming.
Aneta is a new social entrepreneur. Her business - Aneta Uplifts, LLC - specializes in digital literacy training, program development in digital inclusion, speaker advocacy services and instructional design.
