Frieda C. Fox Family Foundation
Alexis, in addition to being a trustee, is the Program Officer and Junior Board Advisor for the Frieda C Fox Family Foundation. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day grant administration and guides the Junior Board members (ages 8-21) in their grantmaking. Alexis considers her journey in philanthropy much like that of the delta symbol Δ: 3-sided and focused on change. She has been a recipient of philanthropic funds during her years as a foster youth in Los Angeles, a grant-seeker as a nonprofit employee, and now a grantmaker whose passion is to support young people in making a difference through philanthropy. Alexis sees philanthropy as a privilege, and works toward creating a grantmaking culture that is brave, empowering, and focused on the liberation of all people. Alexis received her M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University, LA and is a 21/64 Certified Advisor. If you want to see her face light up, just ask her why play-doh and pipe cleaners are required meeting supplies!
