This brief presentation will give attendees insight into what it takes to put on a virtual conference. It will cover staffing requirements, vendor selection, accessibility, and the testing and implementation of the event management platform. We’ll cover tips for better processes to run the event and pitfalls to watch out for.

Over the last twenty-five years, Nico Taranovsky has worked as a database and web application developer, systems architect, product owner, and consultant for small nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies, and everything in between. After a stint as the board president for the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop, he decided to switch full time to working for and with nonprofits. He is currently the IT Manager at Arts Midwest. He is also enrolled in the Management of Technology master’s degree program at the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute in the College of Science and Engineering.
