So You Want to Be a Nonprofit Tech Consultant
Submitted by: Dar Veverka | Idealist Consulting

Description

“Why work for one great nonprofit when you can work for many?” “Should I try consulting?” If you’ve ever asked yourself these questions, our session on what it’s really like to be a nonprofit consultant is for you! This panel of nonprofit consultants, most of them former nonprofit staffers, will talk about what life is like as a consultant – the rewards along with the risks and challenges. We’ll talk about the good bits, the hard bits, and everything in between. The panelists cover a range of consulting focuses and include solo consultants & those at consultancies. Curious what it’s like to work as a nonprofit-focused consultant, what skills you would need, or have been considering a move to consulting?  You’ll discover if it really is a path you should try or if it’s just not for you. This is your chance for a nonprofit consultant AMA!
