22NTC Session: Digital Inclusion
Providing Connectivity and Remote Digital Literacy Training During the Pandemic
Submitted by: Kami Griffiths | Community Tech Network

Description

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many public computer labs closed to its users. Many older adults who relied on these resources became immediately disconnected from their community, loved ones, and healthcare providers. Community Tech Network (CTN) created a program, called Home Connect, to address this issue. The program’s goal is to ensure that isolated older adults have access to the internet and the digital skills to navigate the internet safely and independently. Best yet, they can do this from the safety and comfort of their home!
