Description
As a “growth mindset” teacher, I have found many of the strategies that I use when I am teaching GED students translate into the digital literacy classroom and help to engage and energize students who feel they are just “digitally illiterate,” (I hate that term by the way.) We will discuss the importance of how the simple concept of “yet” when learning is vital to keeping people engaged and helps them create goals in their own digital journey. Building on “yet,” we will also talk about how praising the process can be a powerful tool to build self confidence and overcome the challenges new users experience. Join our short session to learn about how you can use these strategies yourself and help build life long learners who learn the power of “yet” when it comes to learning computers.
