Tokenism comes in many forms in the nonprofit setting. This session will seek to identify, examine, and compare some of the ways in which tokenism manifests itself in the workplace.
Additionally, discussion, examination, and reflection of the impacts and effects of tokenism in the workplace will provide attendees with further understanding as to why tokenism in the workplace negatively impacts employee mental health, employee safety, workplace culture, program outcomes, community trust, decision making, in addition to many more elements of nonprofit work.
