Workshop: Emerging from All-Zoom, All The Time – Finding Optimal Tech-Life Balance

Submitted by: Meico Marquette Whitlock 🔵

Description

Digital wellness is the active process of mindfully using digital technology in ways that foster a healthy, fulfilling, and balanced life. It has become an essential skill and organizational norm due to working remotely because of COVID-19. While there are many wonderful benefits of technology, there is also a growing set of unintended consequences from digital overuse, including text neck, eye strain, anxiety from FOMO and more. As we emerge from working as distributed remote or hybrid teams, digital wellness will become even more important as more workplaces adopt artificial intelligence.

This session will share practical tips and strategies for avoiding technology burnout, essential skills for advancing your organization’s mission and getting stuff done virtually, and how your organization can adapt and thrive in a post-COVID world.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn practical strategies for increasing well-being and conquering exhaustion and technology overload in the virtual workplace.
  • Understand best practices for teams to effectively use technology to collaborate and get things done in the virtual workplace.
  • Understand the coming imperative for digital wellness as nonprofits begin to adopt emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
