Workshop: Creating Engaging Digital Experiences and Moving Operations Online
Venture 2 Impact, joined by Google for Nonprofits, are hoping to take the stage at 21NTC for a 60-minute interactive & action-oriented session that encourages audience participation.
Venture 2 Impact, based in Halifax, Canada, works to break the cycle of poverty by connecting skilled professionals with the communities that need their support. Before the pandemic, they had tech experts travel around the world to lead workshops and trainings. But when travel was no longer safe, they reassessed their entire strategy to move their operations online and use technology to inspire hope.
To provide support to the communities they serve, they created an action-oriented digital event featuring nonprofits and corporations. With 75 attendees from 5 countries, they learned about creating online panels & breakout sessions, adapting content for new challenges, and more. We are excited to share these learnings, along with best practices and tools to navigate the virtual environment.

Isha Mishra is a Program Manager focusing on marketing initiatives and engagement to help nonprofits make the most of Google tools. She’s been a marketer for 7 years across Google’s Global Ads team, the YouTube Music team, and at Anheuser-Busch. She graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Illinois with the goal of making a positive social impact through technology.

He leads Venture 2 Impact, which is a non-profit organization focused on connecting skilled tech and business professionals with marginalized communities that need their skills.
Fadi spends his days talking to employees and engaged partners from Salesforce.com, Netflix, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Telus, IBM, Docusign, Stanford University and many other companies to onboard them on skilled based volunteer programs.
Fadi believes that solving the world’s most complex social, economic and environmental problems requires the brightest minds and our fullest commitments.
Through our work at Venture 2 Impact, valuable partnerships with tech enterprise companies, and marginalized communities his team has: helped orphans in Romania get workforce development skills allowing them to attain better paying jobs, helped young single mother in Rwanda learn English and business skills reducing child abandonment rates, and improved health care for disabled children in India.
