22NTC Session: IT
Building Accessible Forms

Description

We add forms to our websites for many reasons – to stay in touch with our communities, share our newsletters, sell our tickets, recruit volunteers, you name it! But how can we make sure that these forms will work for people with disabilities? In this session, you will get a brief introduction to digital accessibility and learn about some of the tools that visitors with disabilities might use to access the forms on your site. Then, you will learn important concepts, principles and techniques that you can use to develop accessible forms on your website. You will also learn how to check existing forms on your site to make sure they are accessible.
