21NTC Session

Accessibility is for Everyone

Our world has moved online, and accessibility is more important than ever. The internet has to work for everyone, and that starts with centering folks with disabilities. If you design or create content for the web, and want to know how to bring accessibility into your process, this session is for you.

As a digital agency including strategists, designers and developers, we’ve learned a lot over the years. We’ll go over some of the common accessibility issues we see on nonprofit sites, teach you how you can identify them and some clear steps to make your content more accessible.

Jules Khong

Accessibility Architect

Jules began her career in advertising and design, but her love of making things and accessibility drew her to code. She believes equity can and should be woven into how we build things, and brings that focus to ThinkShout where she leads the Accessibility Initiative. She’s worked with organizations including the SPLC, Feeding America, W+K and Nike. Over the last 12 years she’s worked to build things, solve problems, and hopefully make the world and the internet a better, more inclusive place.
