Trello-blazing the way: using technology to do the heavy lifting
Leep NGO, a not for profit organisation based in Western Sydney, will demonstrate how they established program and volunteer management processes on a shoestring budget using free open-source software.
Using a combination of Trello and Google Docs, Leep has empowered its network of volunteer digital mentors across Western Sydney and Western New South Wales to run one on one digital mentoring programs held at local community hubs. These tools and systems have facilitated the sharing of real-time communication between staff and volunteers, reducing micro-management and improving volunteer autonomy and leadership. We have embedded basic technology to complement our rich culture of valuing volunteers.
