The New Era of Google Grants: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies

Google Ad Grants give eligible nonprofits up to $120,000 a year to spend on the world’s largest advertising platform, putting your website content prominently in Google’s search results. New policies make compliance challenging, requiring significantly more careful account management; but also open up new opportunities that make nonprofits’ advertising more competitive. What are the new Ad Grant rules, and how can you maintain compliance and build effective ad campaigns? Learn how your website, Google Analytics, and Google Ads can work together to meet your nonprofit’s real life goals and conversions.

Michael Rasko is a nonprofit marketing consultant who specializes in Google Grants, an online advertising program for nonprofits. He has been a volunteer, board member, and employee at nonprofits. He is currently on the board of Friends of the Multnomah County Library. Immediately prior to starting his own company, he worked at a law firm, specializing in digital marketing.

Google Ad Grants Certified Professional

Jason King

Jason King is a freelance Google Ad Grants Certified Professional, and a Google Partner. He audits and manages Google Ad Grants for nonprofits, helping them to maximise the benefits of Google’s free online advertising. He’s an ex-librarian who’s worked in the charity sector for over 20 years, running ICT projects, supporting staff and volunteers to use technology, and helping plan, build and promote non-profits’ websites. Jason’s a co-organiser for NTEN’s WordPress Community forum for non-profits. He lives in Mirepoix, France.

Michelle Hurtado leads the Ad Grants program at Google, which offers $10,000 per month in free advertising to nonprofits around the world. From starting her career supporting nonprofit communication strategies to diving into digital marketing for over fifteen years, she’s grateful to bring interests together and serve nonprofits through Ad Grants. She resides in California with her husband and three children and holds degrees from Duke University and Wharton.
