Prototyping for Social Change : Using Design Thinking in Planning and Project Management
What if we tried to sell social change the way products are? What if we looked at social change as a product designed with the user-centered model? What if social change was a managed product with the discovery, design, iteration and testing, processes? Utilizing user-centered design thinking, participatory frameworks and experiential popular education models, Activate Labs and IDEPSCA will share their design systems using fun and embodied exercises. Using the “Frame Design Process” card deck and IDEPSCA Planning card deck, facilitators, Monica and Maegan will show and share how they have worked with impacted communities and grassroots leaders. The card decks help facilitators lead listening, designing, prototyping and implementation processes for social change interventions.
This is an interactive, participatory and experiential workshop – be ready for fun!
