20NTC Session Proposal

Mapping Your Digital Ecosystem

Rather than looking at systems such as your website and CRM as silos, wouldn’t it be better to understand how all of your tools fit together? In this session, walk through how to map your digital ecosystem, and how to use that insight to create a roadmap for improvements which could include automated integrations, select custom functionality, and new tools to replace legacy systems. When the journey is complete, your team will be more efficient, you will gain a holistic view of how your constituents engage with your organization, and you can create more personalized, compelling digital experiences for your users.

Lev Tsypin

Lev co-founded ThinkShout with the goal of bringing digital tools and strategy to organizations working to create lasting, positive change in the world. He believes that business can be a force for good in society, and strives for ThinkShout to reflect that ideal.

In addition to helming a team of incredibly talented individuals, Lev endeavors to keep ThinkShout on the cutting-edge of open source technology, and contribute back ThinkShout’s own time and expertise to the community. Lev began his career in software development as a consultant with Computer Sciences Corporation, saving us all from the Y2K apocalypse, and Inforte Corporation in Chicago before moving to Portland and serving as the Director of Programming at Pop Art, Inc. After spending a year abroad reconnecting with the world and his values, Lev started Level Online Strategy, which shared ThinkShout’s commitment to working with clients who make a positive impact on the world. Lev holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He spends his off hours chasing after his two boys in the great outdoors that many ThinkShout clients strive to protect.

Tauno Hogue

Tauno created his first website sitemap over 20 years ago on a painted 4’x8’ sheet of plywood with pins and threads to show the links between pages. This decidedly low-tech approach set the stage for his human-centric approach to technology. While he doesn’t recommend using sheets of plywood for presenting sitemaps, he leads the ThinkShout development team to focus on the positive outcomes that technology can provide our clients.

Tauno’s years as a multi-day river guide and outdoor educator have given him a cool head and great communication skills, which come in handy as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to ThinkShout, Tauno worked at the University of Oregon, where he contributed to the development of a complex Drupal-based online learning platform for language teachers. He holds a degree in Natural Resources Planning & Interpretation and directed a nonprofit that took at-risk youth and people with disabilities on outdoor adventures. He continues to pursue his passion for the outdoors by spending a great deal of his free time floating rivers and exploring trails with his family.
