Inside-Out Fundraising: Create a Culture of Philanthropy by Treating Organizational Systems, Not Symptoms

If you’ve ever griped about your colleagues “not getting fundraising,” this is the session for you! Internal politics? Communication breakdowns? Conflicting leadership demands? These common organizational problems are likely limiting your fundraising success more than lack of strategic or tactical know how.

During the session, you’ll:

  • Explore barriers to cultures of philanthropy discovered through a survey of development heads, communications directors, vice presidents, CEOs, consultants, and other senior non profit stakeholders
  • Learn five critical points of intervention that will help you navigate issues like “Senior Leadership,” “The Golden Trio of Fundraising, Communications and Programs,” and “Metrics of Success”
  • Hear bright-spot case studies from National Audubon Society, Mother Jones, and Population Action International

Learning Outcomes

  • Undo the dysfunction that hampers so many organization’s fundraising success by applying a systemic approach called the “Wheel of Change”
  • Understand the five critical points of intervention for identifying problems and moving toward change
  • Leave with an action plan for 1-2 initiatives that can give your organization the most leverage
