I don’t want to micromanage, but…
“I thought I was clear…” “I don’t have time to slow down…” “It’s faster if I do this myself…”
Most managers have said this at some point, maybe even in the last few days. The pressure is real to lead teams well, deliver results, and manage their own workload. The potential for stress, burnout, and dissatisfaction across the board is high.
But with some basic tools, managers can provide their teams the clarity and support needed to do great work, while not adding to their own giant to-do list.
In this sprint session, we will focus on helping managers of people and projects to:
- Understand their role in setting clear expectations and supporting others to do achieve results
- Be aware of choice-points to avoid reinforcing systems of oppression in their management
- Walk away with clear action-steps to communicate and collaborate more effectively with their teams
