20NTC Session Proposal

From Complex Datasets to the Nation’s City Health Dashboard

80% of the US population lives in cities. But until recently, few measures have been available for cities to assess health, the factors that shape it, and the drivers of health equity.

NYU School of Medicine’s Department of Population Health set out to change that — making comprehensive city- and neighborhood-level health data available to the world.

In this session we’ll explore how the City Health Dashboard is helping to drive smarter health decisions made by city leaders, and take a look under the hood at the data platform and visualizations that make it possible.

By the end of the webinar, you will armed with a good understanding of the fundamentals of engaging decision makers with data in order to take your own complex datasets to the next level.

Learning Outcomes
